Bag of Holding - Is there one, if so where?

Hauling loads of stuff, my character always complains about how he "could use a bag of holding about right now..."

So, is there one in the game, or any bag or pack that reduces weight of items placed inside?

There is chest of mundane in the underdark in the arcane tower, it weights 20 and everything you put in it will get transformed into a item that weights 0.5

You get some extra xp the first time you put an item back into the chest too. Found that out yesterday. Problem is that im pretty sure you wont be able to figure out whats in there, cause when it turns an item into a spoon, its just labeled spoon, and you have to take it out again to find out what it was

Just use it for dumping all your heavy wares, and then when ready to sell just drag it out into your inventory away from other items so you can easily select all and mark as wares to sell

A pity that there are no actual bags of holding in BG3. The Pathfinder games have those.

it does up to a limit i recall someone in a different thread saying it stops reducing weight of items at a certain number of items.

Chest of Mundane is currently broken once made way into ACT 3 as I've found out, bug reported

Ye you dont know what the items in it are but i use it mostly for junk that i want to sell or heavy items that i may want to use later on
If you put a blue item in it the spoon will turn blue tho

Hmm. i didnt think about that . That could be VERY handy, instead of them cluttering my camp chest.

just remind yourself to empty chest of mundane before entering baldur gate from act2
and put the chest out and into inventory to fix its weight calculation

YOU CAN. You need to move the chest around in your inventory for it to update the weight, but you can do it. I now have like 15 barrels on me at all times
