I have asked some people this myself and the most common response I got was "If I a going to spend 20 hours with my camera behind the character watching their ass bounce up and down while I run from waypoint to waypoint it might as well be a woman's ass."
However for things like souls-series where you have just your char and no real gender-related interactions:
^
1: If I'mma stare at an ass for hours on end, I'd rather it be a female ass.
2: From a developmental standpoint, the dominant side of my family has traditionally been female, so rolling female avatars has always felt more natural.
Unfortunately, this is actually true for most gamers. I've actually read a research paper that confirmed most players would create a female character in an MMO to stare at her ass.
Just shows how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the gaming community is, unfortunately
1) I refuse to endure decision paralysis during character creation.
2) If I have to stare at an ass for 40-100 hours, it isn't going to be my ass.
There you be.
