glitches/bugs in Cloister of Somber Embrace

anyone else having a problem with certain glitches or bugs involving the boss in the cloister where she just freezes when she turns into a wolf or when you get to shadowhearts parents and the conversation doesn't start despite the notification saying it is starting? i tried rebooting the graphics card and that didn't work. any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

The zone lags so bad and corrupts any save (at least for me) in that zone. So strange.
