You can have Jaheira and them, no problem.
Sorry for late reply. I didn't know I was replied to. The thing is, I had Jeheira fight with me on the second Phase, where you fight Myrkul himself...kinda. and you see Jaeira's disgust when Nightsong crushes Ketheric's skull. When I invited Nightsong after the fight, that cause Jaheira to leave the party. I figured that it was either a bug or Jaheria just really doesn't like Nightsong after that entire fight.
You didn't say you were doing Dark Urge, but if you're not, it sure looks to me like you're experiencing a bug.
Jaheira has a problem with Dark Urges who stay loyal to Bhaal and their intrinsic murderhobo nature. After all, she hasn't had the best interactions in previous games with Bhaalspawn.
The other time I've seen her leave in quite a huff is when you try to KO Minsc and kill him instead. If that happens, you not only lose out on Minsc but she leaves very pissed. Fortunately, I had a relatively recent save ... that was in my first playthrough where I was dense to what I know now, that "nonlethal" attacks CANNOT be with ranged weapons or spells. I sure wasn't TRYING to kill him, but ...
Zevlor - did you purge or release?
Mizora (Wyll) - release or purge?
US - did you acquire if available?
Waking Mind -several outcomes
I never have taken Jaheria into the Colony.
You and any other companion have the same reaction to Nightsong's actions within the cut scene, so I doubt that would be the case.
If it was caustic fluid, I suspect you or a party member created it at some point in time and so you were blamed. Similar to what occurs when npc's walk into persistent spells after combat (moonbeam is the most often cited).
That original post is now 9 months old! The game has received 27 (or so) hotfixes and patches since then.
And that includes several changes to the behavior of NPCs regarding summons; last time I checked: NPCs don't care at all about any summons anymore - which is vastly different than at the time when this thread was started.
Here's a list with all patches and links to the notes, where you may find the changes, if you look for them: https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Patch_Notes
THIS!!! this was the solution. I spend nearly several hours to find this. thats a dumb bug, but that helped.
Really? She attacked me at the exit of the Bhaal temple when I became the slayer in one of my previous runs (alongside Minsc), so in my last run I just killed her in act 2 to avoid it... didn't know you could avoid her turning on you if you do that.
