The Underdark is boring...
I'm still in act 1. The underdark is a tedious endeavour. I am longing for a city and for sun light.

Is act 2 going to be better?

So don't take the Underdark and go through the mountain pass.

No.
Act 1 is where most of the effort when.
Act 2 is forgettable and act 3 is even worse.
That said.
Take the mountains.
There less tedious.

They should be doing both of those maps completely since they are both act 1 maps.

And no, there is not sunlight in act 2 but at least its above ground.

Means the setting changes to night maps or to labyrinthic buildings?

Subjective opinions aren't facts.

But yes you won't see an actual "city" or village until Act 3.

Is this a problem? For some, maybe. For most? No.

Youll be above ground but in permanent darkness. For the most part.

I liked act 2! Altough it has less encounters then I would like but considering where it takes place haha that's to be expected.

Glitches aside, Act 2 and 3 are great and well received by most of the community. I acknowledge the bugs. They will certainly clean these up over the next month.

There are just a vocal minority of people (like yourself) that can't stop whining.

Yeah I should mention if you think the Underdark is tedious you will absolutely f-ing hate Act 2, like the entire thing from start to finish.

Well, does it feel like you being railroaded through a dungeon full of silly mushrooms?
OK, time to put the Fanboi hat again, because as much I love bashing this game, I like one thing about this game: You can have fun doing hedious things that either by design or lack of, are allowed.
So, Underdark is not all that glorious if you bring the D&D experience here, that I know, but:
You can only say that it is boring if you only know how to go down the Underdark, and try to find the passage wandering around like a headless chicken.
For the evil characters, and I mean evil characters, not the "bad guy lovers", you can do a lot of despicable things, like torture slaves, slap some defenseless people around, kill innocents, and wreck an otherwise nice folk that was doing some nice things like harbor runaway slaves.
Or you can play the nice guy and free the slaves, hunt some treasure, lie to comfort a broken up couple, save another, and smug kill one of the "True Souls" in the process.

But I guess, if you run the game trying to end it as soon as possible, everything else is boring.

Sure, the game is not a black pearl among fish dung, rather a more shinny dung where no pearls are on sight, but there are "some" work put on it, and you might only say Act 1 is nice, Act 2 is boring and Act 3 is broken if you cant really learn how to play a game by its first few hours.

But I wonder, why would someone play a game that is dark themed to see nice cities and sun light ? Do you play cyberpunk to gardens and fields of azure ? lol

if i had to put in a graph what i've played up to now in my 80hrs, Act 1 was a flat line near the bottom, act two rises untill the middle of the graph (i'd like to know more about the 100 years ago war tbh), but i am fearing that act 3 will just go downhill for what people said. it isn't without problems tho: Ketheric Thorn at least was a good villain overall... caricatural, but a good villain nonetheless... the Nightsong is Insufferable and i am just waiting for an oportunity to push her and Izobel off a cliff in one hit (should've used the lance), the last light inn was downright weird, and creepy, there were some dead aquatic creatures that i found interesting in one part of the map, one demon i had to kill that had a fight of atrition so long, it took me a whole afternoon of me atracting him to the area where the stairs are broken, jumping from it, hiding as a rogue and hiting him with effect arrows to kill the guy, a whole damm afternoon. and the exp ammount even wasn't that good given i had already stolen his orb to advance in the temple. the trials of selune were a mixed bag, the stealth one was ok, clever even with the buttons, the mirror match was extremely easy showing that the AI had no idea why i did make my Tav the way i did and didn't know how to control him at all, and the faith leap trial can simply burn in avernus for all i care (used fly to cheese that section after trying legit), Waining Moon was interesting with that Big Boss that belges and is a tad explosive, and that pile of bones at the end was pathetic... wasn't an easy fight by any means, but i expected that he would wipe the floor with me, since he is a god?! did win first try, WTF... (again serving to show that the gods of BG3 are either cowards (*ahem* Shar and Gith queen) absent (Sylvanus and Selune... literaly Error 404 god not found) or pushovers (lord of bones) ).

No mushrooms in act 2! Lol but the whole area has a curse over it, altough with the right choices made you'll have lots of FREEDOM and the curse is no issue (Hint hint wink wink!)
