Getting into the city

Soo I'm in Rivington and the steel guardian at the bridge which leads, I assume, to baldurs gate, he wants to arrest me, idk what to do, I assume there must be another way but can't I just kill them? Will this agro all guards later on?

You can 100% just kill them, it'll aggro the guards nearby but none more. The guards later don't care at all.

Also make sure to loot their bodies during combat, if you loot after the fight it's considered theft (seriously)
