The only game like this that had an actual NG+ of sort was Icewind Dale with its Heart of Fury mode.
Starting the game with some selected items would really add a lot of replability.
Its also very easy to implement compared to adding a ton of new content.
I actually expect them to add this. Players like us just need to be loud about it on and let them know we want it.
Like me personally I would like to start with the items but not overleveled. So still starting at level 1.
Other people though might want to start a new game fully leveled.
But it would be great to have these New Game + options.
Incorrect, the term was coined by Chrono Trigger, where the New Game + is almost exactly what OP describes: just restarting the game with your characters from the end of your other playthrough. Kinda curious how you decided something called "Heart of Fury" was supposed to be the same thing.
So will enemies. Hof or NG+ means enemies will be actually stronger compared to you, not weaker.
A basic new game + allows you to bring old stuff from your old playthrough. WHy WOuld you do it? because it is fun, starting from 0 when you already put 150+ hours into the game is NOT fun at least not for me.
If you read my post I would personally choose the options that just let me pick a few items to start the game with from the previous game.
This way I could start out at least with an ice ring or staff for my ice spells. That way the fun starts early for me.
Also its rather fun to just hop in and be OP.
So if you don't like it no problem you don't have to use it.
Im curious your opinion on the character respect in this game then.
As that is quite OP and defeats the purpose for the entire roleplaying game.
So for this reason I do not use it myself. But its there for people who want it.
It would also be nice if they had difficulties to complete where you could NOT use respect or new game plus. Kinda like a hardcore mode.
I personally don't think it fits in with BG3. However, I'm not the final arbiter of all things, so....
