Mol - Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious?
I've joined the many players who have encountered the Mol bug, and what a horrible way to completely deflate and ruin the ending of Act 1. And apparently this has existed in the game since the early access days? How has this never been addressed? Or do the developers actually think it makes sense as a "consequence of your actions" that the entire tiefling camp aggros on you because ONE ♥♥♥♥ kid told them to?
I was enjoying the game quite a bit but this represents a pretty serious oversight and makes me apprehensive about continuing this playthrough, as I'm now wondering what other massive oversights I'll encounter or what knock-on effects this oversight could have should I continue the playthrough.
The game has sex scenes in it though so it gets 10/10 scores on every review site lol

Sure, let me reload my save from about 15-20 hours ago from before I interacted with Mol, thank you for the amazing advice dude :poemg:

there are autosaves...... the game autosave before every big fight LIKE WOT!?
Not for Mol,

What OP mean is the pickpocket kid. She try to pickpocket you and you chase her to their hideout, in that instance Mol will stuck with conversation of calling the guard.

So let say after this you went and spend 15-20 hours doing other quest including investigate the beach quest where you save a kid from siren or saving that kid from Kagha. Mol will not change his dialog. He will still call a guard on you and tell you how you will be sorry. He will not offer any quest or reward from saving that kid.

Im very sure this is a bug.

Gaming in a nutshell, herd mentality drives the business, not actual quality of gameplay or consistency. The game is a mess and yes it still has bugs from the 3 years old EA that was supposed to be completely different.

What bothers me more than the broken quest logic, is everybody's willingness to throw themselves into a meat grinder because a known criminal street urchin was threatened.

I really miss Gothic mechanics, where fighting someone and killing someone were very different propositions, with very different repercussions...

oh, another way it could have been solved - fight only the guard first. If you kill - all camp attacks you. If you use non-lethal hits - they not, mabe just massive reputation loss...

Wait so I also caught the pickpocket, but I was nice to the obviously scared kid. Then I saved the kid from the harpies and got invited to the dragons lair and moll didnt seem angry at me. Is it going to glitch out and turn everyone hostile later?

Doubt it.

I caught and was nice to the pickpocket.

I didn't save the kid from the harpies (somehow completely missed that area).

I got into Mol's hideout by speaking with the kid near the entrance and just walked in. Mol was happy that I helped the kid accused of stealing the locket and that I was nice to the pickpocket.

No issues later at all.

The trigger is saving both kids and then going into the hideout, which seems to trigger the same reaction as entering there without savint any kids.

I think it may be a bug on some people's part but I personally had the one who pickpocketed the mercenary get slapped, Mol will hate you and snitch on you even if you saved Arabella or Mirkon.

I passed an intimidation check on the first tiefling who accused me and no one bothered me again after that.

This may be intentional feature, I agree that why the hell would anyone believe a bunch of urchins thievering little brats but Tieflings like to help each others out so see it like a herd mentality.

In my opinion it also happen to me also. Caught a pickpocket and Mol snitched. But I found it easy to avoid the aggro guards when in the grove with the tieflings and get with your life. After the first check to get out of trouble. And in act 2 got to last inn and Mol and the tieflings are no hard feelings and friendly to me.
Don't go towards Mol and on the high wood platforms where the guards were.
And at the party no one aggro me and my party.

Eh.. Couldn't you just tell the Tiefling going to attack you that it was the kids making it up. That's an option i got on one of my play throughs.
I got the bug where the child by the harpies didn't even speak to me after the fight so Mol didn't acknowledge me even saving them. The child just stood there for eons then by the edge of the water for many rests bugged. I didn't realise there was a different outcome until i played on a different play through or i would've reloaded the fight.
Anyway. I had Mol tell me to get out to the count of 10 or else. Obviously i didn't and the Tiefling was going to attack me. Narrator tells you why and you get options to talk your way out of it but it has to be done on all your characters which is annoying. After that check, i had no problems.
I did start a different play through though, and that's when i discovered it could be done differently.

You can do that for the first guards. There are some, easily avoided (around the tiefling children sparring) that will either go to jail or fight. And they should be more sensitive for shady characters that have accusations of brutalizing children, even unfounded ones.

I don't understand why people are arguing with the OP. His issue is that he gets attacked after the Party, in his own camp. That is not normal no matter what choice he made in the story.

Yes this is not normal behavior.
Not the tiefling being aggro because his bad decisions.
You can get attack in your camp like Volo and Halsin attacking you if you steal the idol of silvanus and try to pass it from your stash or to another character(normal inventory management).
