They were worried game had peaked during early access so they wrapped up the loose ends and released the game. They were very surprised that the game performed as well as it did on launch.
People calling it a master piece and giving it 10/10 are delusional.
Perhaps Jaheira could have given her druid abilities more of a back seat in her later years. If Halsin wasn't so inseparable from his bearsona he could have had that yin-yang paladin duality going with his main Act 1 enemy. You can after all command a fair bit of authority in the druid grove if you go as a paladin yourself.
They could have drip fed a few more, with a bit more variation in their roles both in terms of what they bring to combat and to the camp dynamic.
Alfina would have made a good fit for a bard companion, though a certain origin character might not fully agree. Dammon maybe, he would probably be another rogue or ranger given he knows his way around gadgets but his knowledge and commitment to helping Karlach seem priceless. Or Blurg, the pleasantly mannered hobogoblin researcher with his pleasantly mannered mindflayer botanist friend.
But we are forgetting about the evil options and the short options. I already feel True Soul Nere is a character who was more developed than what we actually get to see in the game. And I'm surprised not even one of the Duergar expressed interest in joining us.
So, I guess the seekers of male special company seem to be faring much better.
2. Larian wanted to hype up the game more.
3. He is an unconformable Alpha Chad Male, can't have too much of that. (Unless they make them playersexual, and they weren't allowed to do that to Jaheira or Minsc)
They also don't understand that it's important to bond with your companions before they start hitting on you...
Yes I'm talk about you Halsin, Gale, Wyll, and Lae'zel...you are all thirsty af.
No, he doesn't bang. He has a hamster in his pants.
