Report a translation problem
On Your Class Symbol on the Quickbar (left end of quickbar) there is several buttons below.
One of them is to Switch between Weapon and Torch.
Pressing it switches the Weapon to inventory and the Torch to your hand.
So give all torches to someone else and then send them back so they update.
Unless the rest of the party is human you don't really need torches.
Shadowheart has darkvision and there is a ring you can give Gale that grants darkvision in Act I.
I don't recall running in this specific issue but I do have issues where I have to repeatedly try equipping other items
Yeah, the problem is this works on all my party members except for my player character.
As for not really needing a torch, I agree most of the time, but having a torch is important for a chunk of the game in Act 2 for reasons I can't say without giving away some spoilers. I incur debuffs if I don't equip one.
