2. Not a quest item but a convenience item, your own fault for not paying attention.
3. On the Eastern side of Moonrise Towers (looking at the map) there's a path you can follow to get through the darkness into the protection of their lanterns. Spare lanterns will be on the second floor in Balthazar room.
4. If you're being a bad guy there are only two vendors left alive in the shadow lands, track them down. If you're being a good guy there's at most like five or six, three of whom are in last light inn, go looking through their inventory.
Hope this helped, the game is very DnD-like mistakes are your own to make, be careful on repeat play-throughs.
It's not a quest item. Doesn't affect anything. I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be able to sell it. Especially if you only got 1 or 2 parts and don't plan to make this staff at all.
Keep them
My disappointment is having properly kept the quest item but at my camp and there is no hint or dialogue which says "this reminds me of something i've in my camp coffer" or something.
Frustrating :)
