it's a concentration spell, are you replacing another one?
Yep, I'm sure. before Hunter's mark 90% chance to hit. After I cast it, it changes to 70-75%.
It is indeed a concentration spell, but it's the only one I use on my ranger, so I'm not replacing another.
I read on reddit that it might be a bug, can this be confirmed?
Try shooting at an enemy, Hunter's Marking it, and shooting at it again. Or reloading appropriately. Mousing over your attack in the combat log should provide a detailed breakdown.
That's not a bug, Sharpshooter applies a -5 Attack Roll penalty for a +10 Damage Roll boost.
As for the OP's problem, are you perhaps gaining/losing Advantage?
Yeah I know how sharshooter works. But it appeared like that:
With sharpshooter on:
Before HuntersMark: 60% hitchance, After: 45% hitchance
With sharpshooter off:
Before HuntersMark: 90% hitchance, After: 90% hitchance
So I thought it sharpshooter is bugged - I was wrong. But I got the solution now, at least for me. I am using the Illithid Power "Favourable Beginnings", which means my first Attack Roll or Ability check against any target gets a bonus. When I apply HuntersMark however, this bonus ist used (though I dont get anything out of it because HuntersMark has 100% hitchance). So the next hit against this target does not get this bonus and in conclusion the hit chance is lower.
