as an rpg enjoyer i'm eating good lately
But one of them has two season passes, each priced at 28,99.
The Pathfinder games are deep mechanical cRPGs, with much more focused and well-written stories and far more compelling and memorable Companions.
Overall, Pathfinder > BG3 unless you only care about them graphics and full voice acting.
Not only that but Owlcat did committed to expand the content of the original game (even if in my opinion the first season pass was underwhelming with the second getting better thanks to the feedback of the community) something that Larian is on the fence about.
WoR felt more completed but enough room extra content BG3 felt like there was stuff missing especially act 3 because the marketing about how Larian recreated the City and sadly is now in the cutting room floor.
In the end both games are great with pros and cons for each I would recommend both no matter what saying that WoR is the better game but BG3 is only missing a expansion or a DLCs to take its place.
Is it a bad thing that the devs responded to the players' demand for more content? The base game of WOTR is already about 100-150h long on a single playthrough and has enough difference that a replay can be very different from the first - good or evil choices, different mythic path, different companion outcomes. It's certainly not an unfinished game that needs DLC to be complete.
Ironically, BG3 *is* an incomplete game. Dataminers have found a bunch of references to cuts, especially with Minthara or Karlach and the ending. What we have is good, but it's kind of expected that in a year or so from now we'll be hearing about an Enhanced Edition with a lot of stuff added or changed.
It has flaws.
So many flaws.
But it also has a better story.
Mystic paths.
More classes.
Mystic paths.
More complex gameplay.
Mystic paths.
Better characters.
Mystic paths.
More content.
And did i mention mystic paths yet?
Serious the ability to be an angel, demon, devil, lich, reality warping drunken loser, the swarm, a gold dragon, etc.
It is better via mystic paths alone.
It is better in all but looks.
Serious dragonkin :drewl emoji:
So many fun ways to play.
Dont get me wrong i like baldurs gate 3.
But baldurs gate 3 vs pathfinder wrath of the rightious is like compairing amature football vs professional football.
Both are fine but my newphew football doesnt drawn a crowd of millions.
The difference is just massive.
Buddy, WOTR DLCs were announced before the base game was even released... the DLCs the devs are asking $$$ for are cut content.
Larian made it clear. This is the final game, no more content update, ever. No DLCs. beside hotfixes and patches, the game is done.
Yeah, they were advertising that season pass right out the gate. You even had to buy the most expensive version of the game ahead of time (over $100 USD total) if you wanted to participate in their backer beta.
Nah there absolutely will be a Definitive Edition for BG3 and I won't complain about it. Def gonna have added stuff
Glad you know better than the devs. Because in EVERY media, they say that there wont be new content made for BG3. They even explained that DLCs wouldnt make sense, as 5e lvl13-20 would require so much work, that it would be easier to make a new game.
In short, no. no new content. You can expect cosmetics in the definitive edition.
That’s not the case the season one are the first chapter of a extra story, a rogue like mode that was popular in the original game and one puzzle focus dungeon, only one was direct connect to the main campaign.
And season two was a response to the community that wanted extra content for the main campaign.
