This game lag like crazy if you have been playing for a while.
Am I the only one this happens for? Its not a major issue since you can just restart.

Since the update

Same, I have lags since the update. Nothing helps, update graphics card, restart the game, downgrade graphic quality.

Use the vulkan mode in launcher. The lag went away when I began to use that, without needing to downgrade any settings.
You can skip the launcher and force it to start with vulkan by adding the whole string to launch parameters for bg3 in the library
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin\bg3.exe" %command%

you will have to edit the string to match with your gamepath, and the " is needed.

Using Vulkan with an nvidia is slightly better, slowdowns are still there (but not in the same place as with DirectX) and the game is more unstable, 1st crash. Maybe lag will be fix in next patch.

It's a memory leak. Got really bad in Act 2 in particular.

I came here because I killed Ketheric and then in the campament I have like 15fps, very bad

Lags very little in cities for me (even act2 and 3) never experienced "huge lag" to be honest, and i'm only on a 3080Ti

It's a memory leak and, no, there is nothing you can do about it besides restarting your game occasionally (despite what some people may suggest). Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

Yup. It's pretty rough in act3, especially towards the end, but as you say it's just a restart away. Hopefully they'll find and plug that one soon.

The problem is memory, not GPU. If you have a lot of RAM or just somehow aren't getting the memory leak, you will not see the stutters. Game starts out fine and after a couple of hours starts getting progressively worse until its at 15 fps. Game restart fixes it 100% = memory leak.

It's leaking resources somewhere. Based on what I'm seeing I would say there's both a VRAM and a RAM leak, they're not cleaning up something properly.

It's called memory leak. Everyone has it.

Is it possible to buy computer tools to avoid/reduce memory leak?
