Why cant I use frenzy with heavy armor?
It says rage impeded. Because I have heavy armor on, but the armor automatically makes me proficent with heavy armor? So, bug?

barbarians cant rage in heavy armor, 5e

Afaik proficiency has nothing to do with it. Heavy armor prevents rage - always.

You can wear it due to the proficiency, but it still prohibits everything heavy armor does, like your rage.

Wrong, if you look at your barbarian class and how it works
you get bonus AC, damage, and con from having less and less actual armour
Barbarian actually works best WITHOUT armour. When you have heavy armour on, you're basically restraining your rage more and more whilst restricting movement. This makes it so you cant rage properly. Its not about profiency its about class passive

yeah, barbarians cant rage in heavy armour, but i dont think they tell you that ingame.
I thought they might be able to, cause they changed a few things with classes and spent a feat for karlach to be prof. in itjust to see...it doesnt work :(

Its the same reason pure magic classes, dont like to use armor. But its a bit more watered down in current version.

the only bonus from unarmored is con ac, its a homebrew difference from tabletop

Spellcasting is different. If you're proficient in the armor, you can still cast spells while wearing that armor. So a Dwarf wizard with Heavy Armor proficiency can still sling a Fireball.

That just means your stats might be low. Barbarians focus STR, DEX and CON at the cost of the mental stats, usually.

So your DEX might just be enough for the limited +2 of Medium Armor without feats. That's what would get you to the 18.

That means for your Unarmored Barbarian to get to 18 AC, it would need an 18 (+4) in DEX and CON.

Or they could just use a shield and you can Rage to heart's content.

I don't think the armor bonus from both con and dex stack,

They do with the Barbarian's feature. As long as you aren't wearing armor, your AC = 10+DEX+CON.

What is homebrew? Rage in this game works just as I remember it working in 5e at least.

Under pointbuy, unarmored defense has not even a lick of a chance of keeping up with medium armor lmao. That's just straight up wrong.
