Ah nice - this does also work with proficiencies that don't come with the class? Always wondered about that when I was close to roll a monk (which I then didn't -.-).
Right, that was it. But it's really only about that label. A quarterstaff wielded in two hands still does count as monk weapon. (a bit confusing)

I haven't tested multiclassing in this game with the monk, but I assume so.
Theistic monks were proficient in short swords, shields, and other basic martial weapons, and Shaolin monks literally train from day one with sword and spear.
This cant be...... would be ridiculous lazy and bad. They have to be somewhere anyone maybe found a shop if they are not dropped?
Quarterstaff has the versatile tag, meaning it can be wielded in 1 or 2 hands.
