Help choose Invocation

Hit Level 5 and can't decide between Mire of the Mind, Beast Speech and Repelling Blast.
First two fit my character more in-character and stuff, since a lot of it is about Debuffing/Cursing and doing Mind Tricks, alongside Detect Thoughts and Speak with the Dead.
However, I dunno how useful/interesting ultimately Beast Speech would be, plus Karlach has it already (granted, she ain't gonna always be in the party).
I dunno how effective Repelling Blast would be for Pushing, since enemies aren't always gonna be near cliffs for fall damage/death, and usually no need to push others from me cuz always far away.
Mire of the Mind feels most useful, but at the same time - kinda boring and only Combat Focused.

You can brew a potion for Beast Speech if you find a recipe
It's not hard to find it

Yeah, but resources aren't infinite either.

Repelling blast is by far the best option there for control - being able to move enemies where you want them has much more utility than just throwing people off cliffs, and it's also pretty satisfying to use in general tbh :)

There are many other ways to pick up beast speech for pretty much no cost, but if you don't have access to those for any reason, and have no need for extra CC in combat, it might be worth grabbing.

sure they are, merchants restock. just use a rogue to nick the mats and any pots you want

I guess that makes sense. But what about being able to cast Slow? Sure, I can pick it just as a new spell, but there are other spells to pick too, like I'm choosing Fear right now (because it's in character).

You can get them from merchants? I haven't seen herbs and stuff being sold yet.

theres an old lady in the grove for instance if the refugees havent left, she sells herbs. pretty sure theres a lady in the swap who sells em too
