It was such a strange sense of disappointment. I'd been gleefully hoarding the items that weren't good enough to use, but could be fed to Gale. I had a carefully curated collection of snacks for the dude, and then he just goes and rehabilitates himself.

He only needs like 3 magical artifacts before he doesn't complain about it anymore.

How is this even an issue? By the end of ACT 1 you'll have already more then enough magical weapons, rings, amulets etc. then you know what to do with it.

In my playthrough I gave him a total of 3 artifacts before he didn't need anymore. In the second act he doesn't need them anymore.
