If you could pick any character as your companion, which would you pick?

I often come across characters that I would rather have as companions than the ones available. Unfortunately that is not an option. But out of all the characters you have met throughout the game, which one would you like to recruit?

If I'd met Deekin, it would be him. But as we don't have him (yet?) I would settle for Isobel and Alfira.

In exchange Astarion can stay at the coast stalking the boar and Lae'zel yelling at Tieflings.

Mizora. She'd make an awesome companion.

I want the Legends of Baldur's Gate characters. Only two of them in the game is not enough.

Dim Phimberg the fisherman, Benji the ghoul and Ellyka the (probably) rogue.

all three essentially don't exist when it comes to interactions with them, however all three managed to capture my interest in those brief few phrases they offer. they are simple, but non the less charismatic characters, that i would love to hear more from.

Okay, it would be nice if you elaborated a little instead of just giving a name. Why would the character be a good companion?`

Barcus Wroot - My pick would be Barcus, the deep gnome that was tied to the windmill. He seemed to have a lot of bad luck, and would be dead twice over if not for the main character. I really liked his pessimistic personality as well, and it would be fun to have him commenting on things in his typical dead-pan manner. Also, there are no companions that are small sized, unfortunately, and I would like to have one.

Isobel - because she is just the type of cleric I'd like to have. Good, sarcastic and no zealot. I also like her hair. She somehow also reminds me a bit of Kaelyn (NWN2:MotB).

Alfira - because she needs company after her loss and we already could help her. As a bonus she would be the first bard companion.

Alfira, Volo as bard companions would be cool.
