[SPOILER] Shadows and light
I would just like to clarify.

Are A2 hungry shadows dispersed by any light (light source)? Because this story started with one very special magical lamp. But as it turned out, ordinary torches work just fine. But spells and prayers of light do not work.

Did I miss something in the game description or is there some logical error in the programming?

There are two levels of dark, let's call them Dark and Darker. For the Dark you just need a torch or something (or a Ring of Illumination, in my case). For Darker, you need a Pixie Lamp. I'm not sure what you're suppose to do if you decide to break your lamp cause you're a lawful stupid Paladin or something.

If you're talking about the shadow curse: most of the map is covered by a lighter version of the curse, but you can use any light source to keep it at bay.

However, other zones ( closer to Moonlight Tower ) will require a special protection.
You will require either a Moonlantern, or a Pixie's blessing.

If you cannot find any of the special protections, your only way of getting into certain zones is to use Turn-Based mode, Dash, and tank the damage until you can find protection.

You missed the part where they directly tell you normal torches work until the deeper shadows. That's why you need the magical lantern.

You will require either a Moonlantern, a Pixie's blessing, or Selune's blessing from Isobel in Last Light Inn.

Selune's Blessing only protects you in the lighter areas.

Thank you for your answers!

I've already gone a little further in the story and they told me about those "shadow levels".

It didn't help me. We found a ring with light magic cantrip somewhere, and the party mage cast this spell on each character. But when the party started to move, it stretched out, and as soon as the first character left the area illuminated by the torches, the game immediatly switched to the turn based "danger" mode.

Now I have protective magic from both the priestess and the fairy, for both shadow levels.
