That's all I'm gping to say at this point. Everything else you have to figure out yourself during your run.
Myrkul featured heavily in Neverwinter Nights 2 and as I understand it is somewhat out of the major pantheon circa BG3, which suggests to me Wither might simply be the alias of a certain quasi-deity. Which would go a long way towards explaining some of the powers Wither exhibits.

The filename and developer comments in the script is quite revealing.
I can't say it's still cannon, but atleast it was the intent and are still true unless re-written.
I mean, even the artbook itself makes it somewhat painfully obvious.
