If you're looking at an item while you have Character A (lets say GALE) selected, and then equip the item on Character B (Lets say Laezel) then yes, the damage numbers will change
If it does then it's gi ING you the 2H wielding stats and you probably have a shield or dual wield it?
The weapon will calculate exact damage based on everything your character has (items, class levels, etc.
However the damage calculations are BASED on the character that is selected.... So you need to move it into their inventory or look at the gear from their character to get accurate damage numbers.
Also if the weapon is "versatile" the damage changes a bit depending on if you are 2-handing the weapon or 1 handing it.
Then, there's the fact that extra attack damage doesn't appear on your character screen either (such as +1D4 psychic damage for example).
It doesn't calculate conditional damage bonuses though (like if target is burning do XX extra damage)
