I just wanted to escape reality for a bit.

I was very much enjoying my escapism while playing this fantasy role playing game...until the first major camping scenario. Never in my life, have I felt sexually harassed in a video game, until now.

Every.Single.Person. in my group propositioned my character the night of the big camp party during Act 1. Some of them propositioned again the next morning. I had played up until that point with the same 3 party members, the rest I sent immediately to camp and didn't interact with. Halsin, I spoke with once earlier in that day. Again, they all propositioned me, and sometimes no, didn't mean no. This made me uncomfortable enough to stop playing the game. I do NOT, want to 'gather my party before venturing forth'. Everyone one of them is a creep. That's all I'm saying.

This isn't about sexual orientation. This isn't about the amount of 'romance' in the game. I expected MORE romance in this game, over the previous two entries. But this isn't romance, this is nothing like any other D&D game, including the original BG1 and BG2, all of which also contain the.........

"Sexual Content" tag, which is often misleading. Based off past experience with D&D, it should be safe to assume the romance in BG3 would be the same as the previous entries, if only better (more options). It's a poor argument.

I am not arguing for romance to be removed from the game. I am arguing for a better, more organic system than this style of just 'Click here to have sex. No? Are you sure? You're sure you're sure? I'll try again tomorrow, you'll be in a better mood.'

Would actually agree, if Larian was actually mentioning or telling folks, that the game will have constant sexual offers in the game based upon character approval, that you no matter how many times decline, they will still OFFER. Because i chose shadowheart but Gale and Halsin does not seem to care or realize it and come onto my character EVERY FRIGGIN TIME i need to interact with them due to story progression.

A total of 2 companions have ever flirted with me without me initiating things first. I turned each of them down once and it never came up again.

There really is a sexual comment after every convo with companions, it's truely ridiculous.
I killed them all but halsin and gale because i thought they were essential. Leave them in camp, skip through their ♥♥♥♥. Both were 1 option away from being inside me. What kind of writing is this?
You used to have to cultivate and romance your companions.
Mass effect? Dragon age?
Those people didn't even like you, then after saving the world a few times together you could start a romance.
This game is straight to bed without even knowing their name regardless of sexual orientation, stick whatever you got into whatever I have let's go daddio.

If this is triggering for you, then you really can't blame Larian for not catering to your whims.

I did not say it is triggering me. I said it is annoying, and that I would agree with what zero is saying if Larian did not implement the system as they did and if they warned that they implemented it like this. Because the No means NO in this game does not appear to be so. I just get annoyed at this, but i can understand how folks with other experiences, other emotional state etc. can feel triggered, upset, whatever by it that they voice this concern. And put quite a lot of emphasis on it. I actually soldiered on, and decided if Gale comes upon my char 2 more times i am killing him.(No i wont force him to leave i kill him, and see if we all blow up.) Same with Halsim.
I actually stopped playing because the game offered me two choices, I went with one, and they apparantly forgot to implement if anyone selects that. You cannot advance:D
(Act 3 githzerai attack on Dream Visitor, as in not to spoil I call her that. I sided against the Dream Visitor, but nobody seemed to care everyone is hostile so i killed everonye:D And now the game is acting like i need to rush to defend the Dream Visitor....like when i entered the astral portal. I looked around and all i can do is loot, since fast travel is locked out.)

Gale's romance is a bit more aggressive, true.
But you're speaking generally, and that really isn't fair to Larian or to players who might be mislead into thinking that this is the norm for every romance option.
