on a more serious note, he's not a "normal" illithid. Hell he's not even your "typical" rogue illithid. He's very "different" because Larian wanted him to be.

Because the writing staff of this game are some of the most repressed, socially maladjusted, virgins that I've ever had the misfortune of playing the game of. There are straight up harem hentai games with less out of character, nonsensical, blatant power fantasy dialogue crap yet with a HIGHER ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ understanding of human interaction that you can find out there.
