Follow the Convoy (issue?)

So after clearing the creche and heading into the ruined battlefield I ran into the True Soul convoy but because of choices I did earlier, accidentally yeeted Minthara into an abyss (RIP), the dialogue options I was left with were to go and find the lyre and come back. So I explored the battlefield and found my way to the Inn. Except I see now a quest marker to "Follow the Convoy" but when I go back there the convoy is gone and the marker bubble still stays.

TLDR: is this a bug and should I just ignore the marker?

You can actually proceed without the lyre. There's an option to say you don't need the lyre because you're a true soul (or something like that), and you can call the guide using your Ilithid power.

To the OP, if you have an earlier save, you can load up before you go and retrieve the lyre and talk to the camp again, and in your conversation with the orc (I forget his name), that's where you'll find an option to say forget the lyre, and call the guide with your Ilithid powers.
