I'm not rich that price is to high for my budget.

Plus, not sure I'm buying into the hype "this is the game that is going to raise the standards of all games bla bla bla."

I haven't seen anything that standard raising tbh. Just looks like another topdown with 3dfancy cutscenes to give it the illusion of a 3dfancy game. Like V-rising etc. It's not the first game ever with great character customization either. So the hype sounds very elusive. Possibility orchestrated and planned like a political campaign. Cause no one has ever done that before. *cough*

Considering how successful it is, the cost should remain high for 2 or 3 years at the very least. There is a good chance, that it will have a discount of 10-20 % during winter sale though.

Christmas sale for sure, maybe even Halloween sale. Everyone who really wanted to buy the game, usually buy it during first few months. Then it's a sale train, as I see it. But maybe -15% or something alike, until next summer. Perhaps.

Wait about a year or two, a 75% discount will appear. It'll depend on their sales mostly. As soon as sales will plunder, they'll increase discounts little by little.

Probably not until a few months after the PS5 release at the earliest (the release is Sept 6) .. Possibly around Christmas.. IF sales are not still sky high. But they are also working on Xbox release. They probably want to keep the price regular until all the platforms are out and sales numbers stabilize and start to decrease. Then it makes sense to have a sale price to keep bringing in new buyers.

It really does not make much sense to lower any platform prices until you get your initial base out on all the platforms. Most people with Xbox also have a PC. If the game is $20 off on PC when the Xbox release happens, people will buy it for less on PC (as an example).

But.. Short term sales.. Like Black Friday deals could certainly happen.

I have no hope it goes onsale because I already bought it so don’t care. And I don’t get in to hype. It’s my style of game and I needed a new rpg. It’s fun so far.

It will go on sale eventually, but I don't think it will be any time soon, at least not a substantial discount.
For the big discounts, it'll probably be a while. Divinity OS 2s historical low is 65% off, and that was in 2022, so basically 5 years after release, and BG 3 is doing way better than Divinity.

every game that has been hyped up either flop on release it it shows that the hype was warranted. there is no way you can be "scared" that the game is not good enough.
