Considering how successful it is, the cost should remain high for 2 or 3 years at the very least. There is a good chance, that it will have a discount of 10-20 % during winter sale though.
It really does not make much sense to lower any platform prices until you get your initial base out on all the platforms. Most people with Xbox also have a PC. If the game is $20 off on PC when the Xbox release happens, people will buy it for less on PC (as an example).
But.. Short term sales.. Like Black Friday deals could certainly happen.

For the big discounts, it'll probably be a while. Divinity OS 2s historical low is 65% off, and that was in 2022, so basically 5 years after release, and BG 3 is doing way better than Divinity.
