Alternatively ranger seems okay, she has outlander background and it's a similar fighting and wild feel
Hey, I even forgot it was a thing for paladins. I guess that's definitely will fit her. So I think when talking about the importance of the class of origin characters Larian were talking about some of them: Shadowheart, Wyll and Gale probably.
Yeah, maybe but maybe Im a bit lazy for respecing 1 more character. Ranger may be nice and I played a ranger in Pillars of eternity 2 just before BG3. But still in my mind a ranger is a forest dude with a bow or crossbow with a pet friend. Can't make myself to see Hell version of that.
Thanks for the ideas.
Battle Master Fighter is probably her best fit.
Ranger fits with her "hunter" theme.
Monk maybe? She looks like she can hit pretty hard.
Bard fits her personality
TBH you can justify anything with RP so who cares
Changing the class of a origin charakter won't hurt their stories, in the worst case it could be kind of immersion breaking.
For example, if you make Gale a fighter he will still talk like a mage and do mage stuff.
i mean why would you bother with like 40% hit chance against boss for your melee and ranged attacks, when you could have 95% hit chance when you throw the pike AND deal more damage than a melee or ranged attack too?
Since that is what I chose for my Karlach Playthrough (it's sadly less fun without her more initiative driven comments, but being her is very fun too) and Rocked a lot (only level 6 in it, as I sadly tend to parallel play multiple chars/builds in rpgs, I'll give her this, and prolly oath breaker, too.
Warlock would be my second choice, as the most tragic one, with Zqriel Patron, and lastly keeping 2 to 3 levels of barbarian, respecting only the stats for more cha, and then going vengeance Pal would be the most natural progression.
