You can edit the amount of quicksaves that are stored.
Standard is 15. You can increase it up to 50.
User issues, skill issue. This is a YOU problem.
The fact that there are other ways to save doesn't change that. The point of Autosave is LITERALLY so you don't lose a ton of progress if you forget to save. Hours between autosaves means it's not serving it's purpose.
Constantly taking a moment to remember to press F5 or whatever it is pulls some people out of the game for just a moment but long enough to break the stride of the experience.
A periodic autosave would help people like that.
Constant autosaves every few minutes is a feature found in games where manual saves don't exist. They exist here, they are not needed here.
