Why did Larian cut some of the Nautiloid content?
I get it's the 'tutorial.' Just seemed no need to cut that content. They could have just made the whole thing skip-able. I liked playing through it, and kinda feel like they took back from me a part of the product I purchased. I respect things can change in the game, but cutting out the thrall-confrontations at the turrets didn't make the game better. It just took something in the game out. Like I said, could have left it in, and made the play-through something we could skip if we didn't want to bother. Interacting with the thralls on the deck was immersive. Fighting the additional imps was also fun. It added art, and world-building for gamers who are into that.

Don't forget the fishers trying to save the dying mindflayer too. I loved that part.
I don't know why it was cut.

It was unnecessary and pretty clunky. Also, it was in early access. Literally said not everything in EA would be in the final game idk why you felt like they took something away.

I share your thoughts.
I can only explain it to myself that from the viewpoint of an absolute beginner that it was quite overwhelming and confusing. The chances getting downed early was much higher too that way.

yea, especialy that it added nothing to the narrative except extending first section of the game without real reason to do so

Totally disagree.
It was a great introduction to show how scary and strong the power of psychic is to the new players, especially those who were not familar with Mindflayers lore.

The thralls who got cut out in the meanwhile: They took our jobs!

I'm too a bit sad that we get less content here. I do understand though that they want to "speed up" the tutorial. But having more rooms on the ship to explore did add to the game and would've been nice. I love to use tutorials to test out different character builds - the more combat & potential loot, the better.

That I really don't understand. At first I thought I did something wrong - but it really isn't there anymore -.-.

I for one am glad they removed that part. It did not really add anything for me.

Yes. Thanks for reminding me. Why are the fishers gone? Something is up with Larian. With their last panel from hel.l, their pushing of certain "content" and now their removal of content that seemed a very enjoyable aspect of early game-play.... I don't like this release. They've made some decisions here that seem more like a middle finger to the players than gratitude.

Troll somewhere else.

I can understand that Larian wanted to add a better entrance scene for Lae'zel and make the mephits? more intidimidating but changing the room+upper deck to just a wrecked room is a strange move especially it was already finished and fleshed out with cutscene and so on.

Tbh i can fully understand why THAT part got cutted:
- why should fisher go anywhere near a f*cking mindflayer wreckage which just dropped from the sky? Everyone know mindflayers = hell on earth = stay away
- it's located in the wilderness, the druid grove is according to the Thieflings 10 days marsh away from Baldurs Gate / any other settlement and no fisher would row his boot 10 days away from his living area it was unrealistic that there were fisher there in the beginning

I never played ea. the only thing I found weird was trying to save shadowheart . The games makes it seem like you can . I spent ages wandering up and down looking for a way to help her only to give up and find out that actually you can’t .

I've noticed, friend. We ordered a T-bone steak, and got a pleasant ham-sandwich.
