(ACT 2 spoiler) Dog of act 2 boss
This may be a weird question but does anyone have an idea what happens to Ketheric Thorm's dog? He was not in any of the fights with Thorm, I didn't find his corpse after the assault and I am not able to find him anywhere in the main tower.

I was hoping to interact with him at the end of Act 2 and either recruit him to my camp or tell him that Isobele is in the tower. However, it just looks like the dog disappeared without trace

Weird, he was certainly there when I fought him, despite talking to him before hand and trying to talk him out of the fight.

The dog is in the fight on top of the tower normally. There are a few cases of NPCs you can spare in fights (like the owlbear cub for instance), so maybe you can save the bone dog?

you should have fought him together with ketheric at the top of the tower.

Oh, I didn't have him there and his corpse is not present after I went to recheck.

I had a few similar bugs earlier (e.g. I went to Last Light Inn really late and tiefling children simply didn't spawn at all since it pushed Roland to his fight position)

I killed him when i sneaked into his bedroom... when I told him the master was bad he got angry and attacked me. xD

Dunno, he was during the Ketheric fight at the top of the tower the first try, but then when I did it again after actually exploring the tower before free Nightsong. I talked to the dog and do a bunch of stuff and the dog wasn't there with Ketheric. I think like a lot of other places in the game, it gets despawned when you defeat the leader of the place.

Before I freed Nightsong, fully explored the tower and talked dog out of conflict, and he wasn't in any of the fights with Ketheric. Now can't find the good boi where it was wondering 2nd floor of the tower.

Same.

If you find your way to Squire before the whole place goes hostile, you can talk to her and, under certain conditions, convince her (SwA) that you're okay in her book. She'll still be at that location and non-hostile at that location when the stuff hits the fan at the towers.

After all is said and done, she's gone, but there is no hint what happened to her.

It reminds me of another instance in Act II where you can free a pet but you never know what becomes of that pet. (If you follow the pet through the Shadow-Curse, you see it makes it out, but you can't encounter it anywhere else.)

Come on, Larian! We have to know our puppers and kitties are safe, happy, and/or at peace. Give us some closure! :)

(Joking about needed Larian to add content just to find out if a few talkable friendly animals survive in case that didn't come across in the transmission.)

It's kinda funny how SwA is supposed to only work on Beasts, but it works on Undead and Monstrosities, too. Squire, owlbear, owlbear cub, Nessa for example.

RIGHT?!?!? I mean they actually added an alternative model of a brother for the tavern guy for a scene w Karlach in case you just out of nowhere decide to kill the original guy!!! Not just a model, voiceover as well! Also, Karlach's actress has her line in a dialoue changed to refer to this brother by NAMУ not just "hey" or "Hey, you!". They actually did it. So...why not a super-cool-looking-best-of-all-undead-girls-ever? YOU CAN PET HER FFSSAKE! And then she vanishes for good?! :steamsad: It's Isobel's dog! They're fine (ofc if you choose them to be fine in your playthrough), but dog is suddenly not by Isobel's side? The dog that gave her life for Isobel?! Why? She at the very least deserved it!

If you let the dog sniff you and befriend with speak with animal spell you before the Ketheric fight then it will not join Ketheric in the battle. Instead you will find it wondering around in Isobel's or Ketheric's room (I broke the doors so it just walked freely between the two rooms and even outside. Cast speak with animal once more and it will say, "I know the battle is outside, but there's peace here. And I'm tired of fighting."

I saw the dog only once when going to Ketheric room before the assault of the tower. If I remember I pet him and talked to the dog. I didn't kill the dog but never saw it again (and I didn't look for the dog either).

I would kill for a mod that lets you recruit Squire after Ketheric dies. Add him to the camp's pets.

Find Familiar: Tara is quite nifty. I've never done Gale Origin, but using that mod, you can get Tara to join your camp in Act 1. She's quite talkative, but only has things to say to Gale. Of course, you would figure that, since she's normally only supposed to be there for his Origin playthrough.

Tara will actually give Gale his first item to "eat," a Ring of Evasion, so this can spare you of having to give him more than 2 others.

That ring is far more useful than most of the trash Gale can eat. I doubt very many people have him eat it. I know I didn't.
