Wyll's devil offered in camp to break his contract in exchange for his father's life. There was an entry in the journal afterwards (I said yes) that said we might still save him if we are in time.
If you made the same decision and went resting, I assume he dies.
So the best way forward is to do all the side-quests first, then do the Coronation, then the Iron Throne, and finally Orin?
I think I will just disable the robots first, then save the duke, slay Gortash and finally visit Orin. I did not do the first three in first run, so I might as well in nr. 2.
tl;dr go to coronation first then proceed with everything
Been raking my brain on what to do first. I already finished all the ONLY Riverton quests, or so I think, I checked the whole map and talked to everybody.
Thanks again.
Went to coronation, Wyll broke free of his contract letting the Duke remain captive, got some dialogues about Wyll basically sacrificing his father for his own soul that didn't quite line up. (Cuz I mean the Duke was fine, just captive.)
Then when I killed Orin Wyll said something about "Oh hooray, we saved my father." Then I went and saved the Duke and the Gondians from the iron throne like waaay later. It all worked out, Duke is fine, Wyll is free but still transformed and no longer a warlock poser.
This!. Completely agree. I mean it's not like Mizora is the most reliable source for anything. The fact that she is the only one that nudges you to assist to the coronation the moment you set foot near the fort it's not really a good omen.
I can't really make any sense in how they not envisioned all the players running wild to Baldur, as a child after the pandemia entering a Disney park, the moment some quest, bribe of shortcut allowed them to.
I mean, everybody has been waiting for 100 hrs, give or take, fighting through Act I and Act II, to get to Baldur. For crying out loud is in the title of the game.
Who wants to go first to a boring coronation to have it rubbed in by Gortash?.
According to Larian?, everybody...
I thought i was being smart by destroying the steel watchers and the factory before attending coronation but ofc gortash's discovers what you're doing during the iron throne mission so basically i missed the entire coronation.
♥♥♥♥ now I have to do the Iron Throne and Gondian missions again???
