So FYI, Act 2 isn't shorter than Act 1

A lot of people saying act 2 is too short - they likely skipped one of the areas.

Act 1 is the overworld part and underdark.

Act 2 has the Gith Creche map and Shadow place. If you only do one area you will likely find it too short.

I'm 23 hours into act 2, did the creche first then moonrise, and I'm nowhere near done. Act 1 people say on average takes about 30 hours, so it seems about the same. I took 3 restarts doing Act 1 so didn't time how long it took the last time.

Creche is part of Act 1, 2 is shorter but not by too much really.

My current playthrough went from Grymforge straight to the shadowlands, and presumably onto Moonrise (once I reload after game that abended on save, thanks Larian!) And my Lae-Zel is dead b/c Shadowheart shanked her in camp. So the creche seems a non-starter for me. Act 2's gonna be shorter, right?

Can confirm, Gith Crèche is part of Act 1 ( although it will advance quest progress, so it's kind of a 1.5 really )

Act 2 is basically just Shadowlands ( which tbh are mostly empty ), Moonrise and Mausoleum.

So yeah Act 2 is quite short.

Act 3 is the longest by far.

2 is about the same size as act 1. maybe a little shorter, but there is lots to do and explore.

I dunno boss...I explored everywhere in Act 2, but it still really did just feel shorter. I will also admit that I wasn't a fan of the miserable, desolate setting so that is 100% my fault, but it just didnt have that HOOK like Act 1, or even Act 3 did for me.

You get the warning before going to gith creche map, so yes it is part of act 2 not act 1

You are wrong, the Creche map is Act 1. You get the achievement for beating Act 1 AFTER the Mountain Pass and also Act 2 locks that area out.

I've heard from several people on the forums here that have the game and beat it, that each act is shorter than the previous one. They were not upset about it, just a little disappointed. DOS2 had the same issue.

The act length debate only exists because there are acts in the first place. Remove acts and call it all one game and nothing is too short whatsoever. It's just one long ass game.

Honestly im still really early into act 3 at 66 hours in the game I was about 25 hours for act 1 and about 35 hours for act 2 I found act 2 the longest so far but have spent most of my time in act 3 so far just exploring the city so we will see how long that 1 takes
