Cannot give Noblestalk to Shadowheart.

When I chat with Shadowheart, there is no conversation options about Noblestalk.
When I try to eat Noblestalk with shadowheart, she wants to talk about it first. Is there a way to fix it?

Pretty sure I've figured out where so many people are having this issue. I was confused too, but you have to talk to Shart about getting to know her more. Eventually, she tells you about her suppressed memories. You can't offer to get her memories back with the noblestalk until you know her memories are gone in the first place!

No cheat engines needed. If the option to give her the noblestalk isn't showing. Just shapeshift and get the dialogue where she tells you that she had her memories repressed and then the noblestalk option will pop up.

She doesn't say a lot, but remembers someone to look out for in in Baldurs Gate.

You can give it to Shadowheart - and still give it to Derryth.

About Shadowhearth, you need to give her the first Noblestalk. I gave mine to bailens wife in act 3. Then the next day i went back and bought 3 of them. I wanted to give one to Shadowhearth but she refused. Then i pickpocket the bailens wife and there it was the Noblestalk with the orange border. I took it and i was able to give it to Shadowhearth.

You cannot give the Noblestalk to Shadowheart if you yet didn't learn that some of her memories were sealed away. You can learn that through some of the dialogue choices (provided that you have enough approval), like "I want to know more about you" - or some of the scripted scenes will also progress her quest to reveal that her memories were sealed.

When you've learned about her sealed memories - that's when you can talk to her and the option to give her the mushroom will appear, it will be specifically related to her restoring memories - hence the reason you can't just have her eat the mushroom via inventory window.

I have never given the Noblestalk to Shadowheart. If you have it, and you're not on Dark Urge (who can also use it), you really only have to choose between giving it to her or Baelen. Some folks think Baelen is the better recipient. But anyway.

So this I did not know, but once again read at the fount of wisdom that is bg3.wiki ...

"After obtaining the Noblestalk, speak to Shadowheart and she can be offered it as a chance to regain her memories. Shadowheart as hesitant to do this, as she fears it might be considered defying Shar to try and overcome the memory suppression. However, she can be Persuaded or Intimidated (DC 12) to consume it. If she does, she regains a childhood memory of a tiefling named Rennald who comforted her when she was being teased by the other initiates. This initiates A Familiar Face, as Shadowheart hopes to reunite with the tiefling in Baldur's Gate.

Finding Nocturne

The tiefling in question now goes by a new name - Nocturne (X:-399, Y:-1608). Nocturne can be found within the quarters of the Cloister of Sombre Embrace, north of the audience room where Viconia DeVir is fought during Investigate the House of Grief. Upon entering with Shadowheart, she immediately recognizes her and exclaims how she wasn't sure she'd ever see her alive again. Shadowheart's mission to pursue the Mysterious Artefact was considered a suicide mission. Whether or not Shadowheart has become an enemy of Shar, she is eager to reminisce with her about their childhood. She shares some funny stories with Shadowheart, such as how she got a scar on her elbow."

Apparently, yes, Nocturne was once Rennald, a boy, and is thus trans. Oh boy. It may be better some folks have never found this, as the "Woke" accusations will explode.

I also tried to give her this mushroom as i never did this part before, but no way to do so, it might be because of approval, she is on neutral because I just dont keep her in my party. xD So I just gave this thing to this old lady, at least something good for her after her (useless) husband died.

See i had this exact issue only after taking desperate measures and trying cheat engine did i figure out what the problem is. The item code for the noblestalk that is in the quest is different from any other regular noblestalk. Shadowheart will only be prompted to take the noblestalk and get her memories back if its the noblestalk you picked from the mushroom picker questline.

Same for The Dark Urge. If he eats this one, something happens.

Dark Urge is perfectly fine with eating Noblestalks bought in the City. It's only Shadowheart is bugged to the specific one from the quest.

If everything was working as intended, the quest Noblestalk should be provided to the alchemist gnomes, which would allow to purchase additional Noblestalks in their shop in the city. This would allow to restore both Dark Urge and Shadowheart memories and provide a powerful healing item.

this is the only thing that was able to help me, I was looking for help everywhere online but couldn't find anything that worked. thank you for posting this!!
