Best Race for vengeance paladin
Im making a Vengeance paladin and picking a race. I love the looks of a human, but i red a half-elf might be better.

Can anyone tell me which race is better for veng. Paladin and why that is so?

- High elf (wood)
- Halve elf (wood)
- Human

Bets race is Halfling, coz your enemies will understimate you according the lore. So lorewise, best race is Halfling.

Human.

That's not an option, they're to small imo.

Wood Half-elf, most of the benefits of human + speed buff. Or Zariel Tifling for some extra-smites.

Its irrelevant. Any race is good. I went tiefling for hellish resistance where i can fry someone as a reaction to being attacked.

Abilities bonuses are the same for all of them, so not a huge difference. If you're not going for the Paladin/Warlock build, then not Human since they don't have Darkvision and will have to waste an item slot or cantrip on Darkvision or light. Personally, I think either Wood Elf (extra movement and Darkvision) or Orc/2 (bonus crit damage and Darkvision) are the best.

half orc for tripple crit damage, since vengence paladin focuses mainly on one shooting people with its crit procs

Halfling. Braveheart. Bravery and luck. Just the short legs is an issue at the beginning. Same issue with Gold Dwarf despite their extra HP. Naturally Elves, if race attributes were still a thing, and their cantrips. Githyanki for Astral Knowledge. And so on - as you can see, every race has benefits depending on your preferences. Some take Half-Orcs just for their endurance which can work great with fighters' second wind. Make sure to check on the subraces as well, so you do not miss out on anything fancy.

Yeh i understand, my problem is that im making a female character and i like a human preset the most, but then i feel like the half-elf got more going for them.

That's why i wonder if humans got anything good going on, for example is the extra point important or is it negligible?
