I go back to camp, the storage chests are gone.
I like immersive game-play. I like divvying up the loot for my companions. I like sorting inventory sometimes before I stop playing for the day. What I don't like is coming back to camp to find my storage chests have vanished, along with all the loot I put there.

I collect stuff. I divide it. I had several storage chests placed around the various companions. They are all gone. Immersion is what holds me to a game. This is the third time since launch this has happened. It's real life-time wasted. It's loot lost. It's in game currency I could eventually use to kit-out my characters. All pissed the F away. And this happened after today's hot-fix.

Reality is this game sucks. People like "things about it." It's Dungeons and Dragons. It's got some nifty races. It's a turned-based arpg. It's, in fact, over-hyped, bug-ridden, and a let-down. Larian is quick to fix all the fun loop-holes so you can no longer finish some quests and still keep other quests. But bugs that cause inventory to vanish, meaning you waste real life time, and in-game progress... Pfft. I mean, what was Beta even for? Honeymoon is definitely over for me.

Ok, relax a bit. If what you complain about is that you can´t find the three colored chests that are usually at the camp, mind that in at least one of the camp scenarios (as far as I know) where you can find them in a side room, behind a door. Check it just in case.
Btw, in the opposite side there´s another room where you can find Withers

I believe that if you place chests in your camp, they will only be available at this exact camping location?

Or I'm wrong?

So If you haven't moved on too far in the game, you might be able to camp again at the same location and get your chests back

I am talking the normal camp. The campsite that is on the world map. It's outside, not in the dungeon. I placed 5 chests in the camp, each with other chests and containers in them a;long with other types of loot. Poof. Gone. It doesn't matter whether I camp in a dungeon, or outdoors, those chests and all they contained vanished from my game. This has happened on three different characters.

Should have considered putting those sorting chests within the Traveller's Chest that's always at your camp.

Did it only happen after the re-do of the hotfix today?? I've been getting weird bugs like suddenly scratch isn't in the camp anymore and such.

wow okay I would have never tried something like this, because I also didn't try it at the ever so changing "camping side" because I feared exactly such an outcome.

I did the same thing on my first playthrough, but I didn't lose anything.

Those placed chests, with their contents still intact, were moved inside a backpack that was placed in the main camp chest when I moved from the Wilderness to the Mountain pass the first time.

After that, I just used the chests from inside that camp chest inventory going forward, having learned that things placed in the camp are just going to go there anyway.

That'd be my recommendation. I didn't notice it at first either, seeing as the chests were put inside another container.

I'm fairly certain they were put inside a container that was created inside the camp chest, but it might have been my MC's inventory. Been a while since it happened. I'm on my 2nd playthrough now.

It happened twice before the hotfix. I'm somewhat Autistic about these things, so once this happens, that is time, and a character pissed away. I can't go back. The bugs in this game are making it trash for me.

I've thought about doing that as a solution. Just feeling burned on this game atm.
