Wiping the zhentarim hideout

I have completed the quest to help the to guys.
Do i miss something later if i wipe the cave out? assuming its possible

Do you have any idea of how extensive these later Zhentarim quests will be? I'm still in Act I. And what if I let the people in the hide-out live, am even friendly with them, but I have opened the shipment chest so I can't fullfil that part with them: do I still miss out on extensive quests in later acts?

Are you sure about that? As far as I can remember, you only meet the Zhentarim during one quest. Furthermore, it is only Roah Moonglow, the merchant from the goblin camp. If she, for whatever reason did not survive, you meet a failsafe character.
I honestly don't think that you are penalized for killing the hideout.

No, there's really nothing. You can talk to some zhent in act 3 but it doesn't open any new quests, or provide you with any new loot or encounters. It's definitely cut. You can give the shipment to a Zhent in Act 3 and that's it they just take it and there's nothing else. There are VERY few throughlines from the earlier acts into act 3, it's butchered by massive cuts.

Then you, then I'm happy to take the chest for myself and not do missions for them. I did rob every item of value in their hide-out...
