The inventory management in BG3 is a nightmare :)
The inventory management in BG3 is a nightmare :)

The management and search of items in BG3 is really terrible. I need a lot of time to collect, order and search items in different bags. A naming of bags and create tags / categories would improve the handling of all the items!

Suggestions:

Tag, search and filter > Trash > for selling
Blocks Items to undestroy / unselling
Naming Bags > order in categories > edit icon & name of a bag
A search function over all active chars and the treasure box

Any other improvment or idea for a better inventory handling are welcome!

would be very nice if inventory just had tabs on top of filters instead of ONLY filters

just give us some basic tabs-> Weapons/Armor+Clothes+Accessories/Consumables/Materials/Notes+Books+Scrolls/Quest Items(that dont fit other tabs)/Misc.

keep filters and search window as well and we're golden

would also be very nice if we could access everyone's inventory at camp

Finding specific items is crazy easy.
You can just use... the search bar at the top of the inventory. I hate managing my stash though, that should have a search bar too.

Yep -- it's really atrocious.

My improvements would be auto loot camp supplies, have it stored in your camp, no reason to sort through it at all.

Alchemy supplies should always be merged into their own inventory space. Same for scrolls. Possibly some type of book you can open up. No sorting required. Every time you pick up scrolls or alchemy supplies they go right to their own place.

No reason to name bags or have bags at all. That's just tedium. The inventory should sort everything into it's own space to begin with, rather than one big screen.

Remove about 50% of the empty crates.
Make it impossible to pick up anything worthless than 5g.

The only thing that should have carry weight is equipment, books, clothing, and in game objects like barrels and crates.

i hated it until i realized i could CTRL click to tag multiple items and then send them to camp.
then camp right next to a vendor, empty everything in camp tag it as wares and sell it fast.

I'm surprised there is no mod like in DOS2 to make it easier to manage the inventory

Agreed.

I was thinking the inventory weight system is a bit pointless when there are already limits on armour, weapon, strength for throwing, etc and a shared inventory in the camp that we can just flit back to. Also sharing the potions, scrolls, throwables between characters more easily than having to go inventory hunting for items in the middle of a fight.

+1, why the hell don't they offer tabs/type filters like any game since 15 years do ???

Yeah inventory management in this game legit stresses me out. There have been way too many times that I've discovered, for example, colored equipment that I didn't even knew I had, let alone equipped on the proper party member.

It would also help to get rid of 80% of Larian's typical junk overflow with magical trash items. Half potion, half arrows, half food, half books. Then establish inventory filters/tabs, and the game would be much less of a slog and way more in lore with D&D.

I often feel like playing a very bad inventory and junk camera management simulator game.
