Not jergal himself.
Mostly because he is busy scribing the names of the dead but you know.
Gods arent limited to 1 body.
Basicly he works for the god of the dead.
No matter who that is.
He is like the inreplacable acounted because he knows how it all works.
Better to keep him around then try to get rid of him.
After all he doesnt plot, plan or scheme.
