Question on Dark Urge playthrough - no spoilers
For someone that has done or is doing a Dark Urge playthrough should you play resisting the Urge, or following the Urge?

If you resist the Urge, does it just turn into a normal playthrough?

Being a Dark Urge and not playing it, it's like being the antichrist and doing charity.
You can do it, but it's not what you're meant to be.

Nope. You can resist the urge but something will attempt to compel you (roll) into those options. Each time you resist the next roll becomes harder.

I've never had one of those "rolls", and I'm nearing Act 3, so methinks you haven't actually played a DU

You can alius deny yer urges (except for two or three key, character defining moments), whether you do or not is up to you; it's a RP-heavy origin, unlike the others. There are rewards for giving in to yer urges, but are ya willing to sell yer soul for it, or do you strive to become a better person?

its up to you. You can not allways resist it though, there are some events that will always happen no matter what and some events that once you interact with that specific NPC will allways happen.

Personally, I give into the dark urge often but not always for RP reasons. I want to play them as though they are teetering between being this relentless evil psychopath and also trying to fight it at times because my character knows that giving into it leads to him doing terrible things. It's that duality in my opinion that makes them such an interesting character. Instead of being a straight arrow do gooder or villain, the character almost kind of takes on this feel as though they are a representation of the light and darkness that exists within everyone. Yes my character has done bad things, but if he is going to grow as a character then he needs to work towards overcoming his darker nature and find a way to redeem himself or try to overcome it and fail becoming a vicious killer in the process. Or at least that is my thought process.

There are a lot of ways you can play the Dark Urge. How you RP it is totally up to you. Decide what you want and then go forward from there is my advice.

You get a few references to your past life but nothing more.

I would recommand it.
Being able to resist the urge and be better then it makes me feel proud.

I'm resisting it sometimes, giving in to it other times. Depends on the situation.
