Questions about Items found in camp

So there's some interesting things, here... I noticed that there are burlap sacks and other things with items in them. And there are items in the companion's tents and such. Are these unique to each environment you long rest in, or does your camp carry these from one location to another? Should you long rest in each area to loot the stuff or is it okay to just keep your one camp?

Also, if I "decorate" my camp with stuff, will those transfer between locations if I move camp, or will they disappear? Or will they show back up if I change my camp back to that environment?

Finally...I sent a couple corpses to camp (Us died in the prologue, but I loved my little brain-dog buddy so I kept the corpse, also a squirrel named Timber I found dead outside the Druid's grove), and I noticed they are actually laying around instead of in the camp inventory instead of being in the Traveler's Chest. Is this something that just "happens" with some things sent to camp? They just auto-decorate with them? Or is it a bug? If I leave the corpse out as a sort of morbid decoration, will it disappear for any reason?

Sorry, lots of questions, but if you guys have any answers I'd appreciate the help.

Also have a similar question. Do dropped items in camp despawn? I also brought some brain-buddies back with me but after a long rest 3 of them disappeared but the rest was still there.

I'm hoping it's not a random spawn/despawn thing. And every time I go to camp, "Us" is out of the Traveler's Chest and on the ground, and sometimes he has loot in him....found a pair of tongs in him.......

Your post does answer the question I have now, two years later, though. I picked up a bunch of ornamental camp stuff and now I'd like it go back on display again, and according to your issues with Us' corpse, if I stick them in the chest, that should happen :)
