it's not per dnd to be able to freely change prepared spell list, is it?
looks like in dnd you'd need a long rest for casters with prepared spell lists (wizard, cleric). tbh it's a welcome change since you can't know in advance what you'll need and long rest spam just to change spells is bad. makes prepared spells a pretty useless mechanic though (the only limitation is that you can't change them in combat).
dnd should probably follow suit; they already moved from preparing not just spell types, but specific spell instances in pre-5 versions, which was simply horrible and i never played non-spontaneous casters because of that. might only be relevant to crpgs though, since they are more battle-heavy gauntlets.

If I recall correct the 5e ruleset states a wizard needs 5 minutes to prepare a spell from their spellbook. Larian just omitted the 5 minutes.

yeah i did some research, and it appears to be worded pretty ambiguously:
You can change your list of prepared spells when you finish a long rest. Preparing a new list of wizard spells requires time spent studying your spell book and memorizing the incantations and gestures you must make to cast the spell: at least 1 minute per spell level for each spell on your list.

so it's either right after a long rest, or at any time, but in the latter case it wouldn't make any sense to mention long rest at all. so to me it sounds like dnd meant once per long rest.
