Karlach Act 3 Quest Bug? (Spoilers)

So the tiefling said to visit him in baldurs gate to work on a cure. I gave him the iron at the grove and the inn. But when I find him I get no further dialogue, this even though I have iron and the enhanced version in my bags.

So no way to fix karlach? Or am I missing something

There is no way to fix Karlach. Dammon for some reason just gives up at act 3. enjoy your time with her

no, nothing wrong, karlach is done, you need 2 times iron work, and that is it.

There is no happy ending for Karlach, yes, you can buy her a little more time with making dammon do the iron thing on her heart 2 times, but again, this just buys her a little time, you cannot cure her, she will implode and die, the only good thing coming out of helping her, is giving her a little bit more time, to fill with worthwile things to do before the fire consumes her.

This is so dumb.... He keeps saying to find him in baldurs gate, when I found the enhanced iron + the steel watcher dialogue I genuinely thought there was a fix....

Because they cut all of her Act 3 content and had to slap together a "tragic" ending for her last minute when the Upper City of Baldur's Gate with her questline was removed.

I agree as the last companion i'm pretty sure she was rushed content.

You mean upper city was an explorable zone? GGWP larian, I liked it, but always felt the ending and climax was super rushed. Like so much talk about the patriars and the ruling council but no content there.

Tbh would be nice if the gortash fight involved trying to win over the nobles in upper city leading to a revolt against him.

Act 3 would have been amazing with another like 4 months i think

Was wondering what was going on. I've taken her to Dammon in each act, but I wound up fighting Gortash in Act 3 before talking to him then and the quests for Karlach completed with text like it had failed. Took her to Dammon afterwards with the iron I had and he installed it anyway so wasn't sure if there was a bug or just an abrupt ending.
