Astarion and Jumps.
He doesnt look weak or sick, aside from having a parasite and never ending bloodlust i dont think Astarion is un-athletic.

However always when there is a jump sequence i have to manually controll him too because he cant jump as far as others, so i gotta move to the ledge as close as possible otherwise he just wont follow.

Is that just a bug or is it because him being a half-vampire? But my regular human can jump as far as all the others, only Astarion cant. Any thoughs about this?

It is probably strength based. I made him an Arcane Trickster for that.

I hate the jumping sequences.
If you don't ungroup and jump down and you switch to the next person and the first jumps back up - fun.

Jump distance and height are determined by your STR score. Astarion is DEX based by default so his jump is smaller than STR based characters. If you were playing a spellcasting class for example where STR would be a dump stat you'd have the same or smaller reach than him. There are items and spells you can use to remedy this

ah, that makes more sense then ^^ I havent paid attention to npc strenghts, i just use karlach for bashing skulls (tanking), astarion for sneak and range attacks and shadowheart as heal and general support.

Ive never played a mage yet, i have a rouge and a monk so this explains why it seemed to me astarion is the only one who cant jump properly, thanks ^^

I think the whole 5e system where half-vampires are not really stronger than humans is illogical. I understand that they have to balance the player potential as a halfie, but still not logical.

I mean, a full vampire gets:
STR 18 (+4) DEX 18 (+4) CON18 (+4) INT 17 (+3) WIS 15 (+2) CHA 18 (+4).

There is actually an issue with Astarians jump, even for jumps he can make. Even if it shows a jump can be made, the game won't let you do it with his main action jump sometimes.
However, you can get around this by using his bonus action jump instead, which for some reason is not affected and works fine.

I gotta admit i have 0 clue about DND. A shame cause i am a roleplayer actually, just with friends on a forum where we do our own storylines and own rules, completely from scratch. And online instead of sitting together at a table.

Sorry, should have been more clear. Specifically what I mean is use his cunning action jump instead of his normal jump. Normal jump bugs out sometimes. Cunning action jump seems to work all the time, at least so far as I've been using it whenever I need to get around his buggy normal jump.

jump is strength base, if your strength is low, you can't jump well. i recommend respec'in him and dump every stat that isn't STR and Dex, and use left over points into CON.

Level 2. You can't miss it. It's something he auto gets as a rogue.

He does. You probably just took it off your hot bar or something. Most people out of combat will just use the hotkey to jump, and that's what was causing the issue for me. When I specifically clicked on his cunning action jump and bypassed the hotkey, that's when I could get him to jump. I imagine it's one of the 1000 bugs they have cued up for the next patch to squash, so hopefully we won't have to deal with it to much longer.

Oh yea me to. Ok cool, that's probably for sure what happened. The radial system is a little buggy itself, adding and taking away things or just reshuffling your order whenever you change weapons or level up, so you probably just dropped it off in the shuffle.

I always respond to people at first using kb/mouse language because I imagine that's what most people use.
