Requested a refund on Balder's Gate III

I paid $70 for it, took 2 days to download and install it.

Played for an hour and uninstalled it. I want my money back.

The interface is too complicated. You see things in 3D, but you can't move through the world in 3D. It's forward, backward or lateral. You can't look up at the ceiling. You are not "in" the world.

I was so happy to buy it, because I LOVED Balder's Gate 1, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment. The Iscometric 2D was great for those and turn-based just made sense in those. IT WAS A BOARD, you're moving pieces on a board.

SO LOOK LIKE A BOARD!!

Your seeing things in 3D, NOT on a board, but it wants you to move as if you were moving pieces on a board...but you can't do that when it's showing you a world in 3D where there actually IS an up and down.

I don't want to play this kind of a interface, Don't like 3D when it's a board. Don't try to play 2D if you're only showing 3D.

Oviously some couple of hundred thousand players can do that.

It is a you problem, you could clearly see what the game is about.

Next time don't buy a game strictly because it is popular and you won't have to complain on forums. Nobody cares. Get your refund and move on if the game is not for you.

Fair criticism, especially in maps with verticality. Not being able to control cam height is a bummer ...

Not a reason to refund as far as I'm concerned, but fair point.

It's been over 20 Years since the last Baldurs Gate - Keep up with Life and don't be stuck in the Past. Things Change. And in this Case definetly for the better. There should have been plenty and plenty of Materials beforehand to see what you get. If you want a totally outdated look - play something else.
