Remove tavern brawler from the game
It is clearly so much better than anything else for certain builds. When a feat creates absolutely game broken builds by itself while it should only complement builds, it should be purged with fire.

For VERY few builds that can't use otehr great stuff because, well, they don't use 2 handers, etc, and that makes them viable. So... what about no?

Is this game PvP? No, it's PvE and majority of the time Solo. SOOOOOOOOOOO, you have the self control not to take it if you don't want to.

If you take it and come here to ♥♥♥♥♥ about a SOLO(Mostly)GAME. Then your an idiot. If you encounter it in Multi. You can leave, really that simple. Only a farking moron, comes here to cry over ♥♥♥♥ like this.

I disagree, crit builds with paladins are more efficient.

Tavern brawler is fine, it does not break the game like you think it does and you still have to build around it to make use out of it (building around thrown weapons, or building around strength monk)
also it's a single player game, let people use strong ♥♥♥♥. We should be buffing the things that aren't worth taking

There's ton's of broken and powerful builds. My gloomstalker assassin can output insane damage before a fight even really kicks off by attacking from a hidden spot and getting first initative.

New to DnD in general I see?
Seriously though - why? It's just one (very fun) tool to use. There's a lot of broken things, and that's the joy of it - to find them and implement to overpower enemies, that usually outnumber and/or outgun you

It's fine.

Most of the feats are garbage. If anything they should buff them. Hopefully the next edition of D&D handles class builds better.

Oh no, people can have fun in their single player/co-op game by making themselves overpowered if they choose to themselves, this can't be allowed!

Seriously, what were you even thinking? Does it really bother you that people can do what they want in an environment that affects no one but themselves?
alan0n Aug 17, 2023 @ 4:17am
He is thinking that it breaks game balance?

The game not being balanced means it is broken. Being broken would suggest that it should be fixed. So they should obviously fix it.

If you want to cheat just use a trainer like the pathetic weak minded scum you are. Dont ask the devs to purposefully not fix the game because you cant be troubled to play a balanced game.

How about not pick it? Don't ruin it for others who might enjoy it.

Just fix the damage riders applying the STR bonus multiple times on thrown attacks, because that's an obvious bug, along with similar ones that allow Magic Missile nukes and the like, and we're good. Strength Monks are far from the strongest build in the game, leave them alone.

In actual DND, tavern brawl doesn't add STR bonus to damage.

Source: Player's Handbook

Accustomed to the rough-and-tumble fighting using whatever weapons happen to be at hand, you gain the following benefits:

Increase your Strength or Consititution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
You are proficient with improvised weapons.
Your unarmed strike uses a d4 for damage.
When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike or an improvised weapon on your turn, you can use a bonus action to attempt to grapple the target.

Can't help but notice that for whenever complaint about combat balance occurs, it's because of Larian house rule BS.
