Does it influence prices who approaches a trader?
Do high Charisma characters get better sell / buy prices? Or doesn't it matter? I read that it should matter, but it doesn't seem to. Only the affection of the trader towards the group seems to influence prices.

Depends mainly on the charisma stat, yes.

So far in game charisma has had 0 effect on trading, nor has any dialoge option - the only way I've found is to bribe them by giving them items with out pay.
I've not done the math on it but it seems that it evens it self out, so I dont bother

Characters with better charisma stats get slightly better prices

It seems it does if you have standing with the trader.

If you sell stuff to him cheaper, only this one person will have positive standing. So you should start trading with this character only.

Other than that I didn't see any difference.

I usually max the standing with one merchant in the act and sell only to him - this way I think I make more money and also get the stuff he sells cheaper.

I just give people free ♥♥♥♥ and get a discount. How do I get free ♥♥♥♥? I steal ♥♥♥♥ and sell it to them with another character. This gives me better prices when selling and buying. Rinse, repeat.

Use a hireling and you shouldn't have any issues.

The attitude system is fairly useless if you're doing a "good" run. It basically just lets you bribe your way back into good graces after making entire towns/communities hate you.

As far as discounts go, you can find so much junk to sell that you will inevitably end up with more gold than you can spend.

Absolutely has an effect. Just tested in game with each of my characters and this is how the price of a particular armour was effected:

7 Charisma: $1920
10 Charisma: $1800
12 Charisma: $1560
16 Charisma: $1440

ALSO, you receive more gold when selling items with a higher charisma.

Clearly, you want to use your best charisma character when buying or selling.

Donating increases the influence. I found that out because I was too dumb to hit the "barter" button in the grove lol

It really doesn't matter. If there is a difference it's too small to care about.

Player is showered with items/gold in this game so long as they're exploring and doing everything they can. You don't even need to pick pocket or steal as they slows you down even further.

^^

Having the influcene of one trader maxed "per map" is a good thing. I mostly go with the smith (act 1, optionally act 2) and the bugbear (act 2)

Yes, i've tried it myself too. +charisma will give you better price.
You've to open the conversation with the carachter with the better charisma then you may switch between the 4 inventories, it makes no difference.
Depends which character starts the conversation.

I actually got that fella that helps Karlach fix her engine to max rep because I had a bunch of crap like, 5000 gold worth of stuff and he only had like 900, but I already had 11,000 gold so I said whatever and just gave it to him, and now, with max rep he seems to have about 2500g on average now thats the only difference I noticed, but Im also on act 3 now, so I don't know if thats related to it or not.
