If you calculate the number of spell levels casters can use at each level assuming 2 short rests before long rest it's actually pretty close between warlocks and full casters. But full casters can choose when to go all out and when to hold back.
Also with the amount of supplies in the game you don't really even need to use short rests even on tactician, if you limit long rests it's more of a self imposed restriction.
Also a full caster often just needs to toss a single concentration spell to massively swing a fight and carry their weight anyway, especially if they also have some summons running around.
So playing Bard Collage of Swords ATM and it is my S tier at the moment. Better than my other characters, But I must try the dual hand crossbow thing, need to respec from duelling. Anyway could someone explain the
as long as it has inspirations
bit. What has inspirations got to do with firing hand crossbows?
You need to spam ranged slashing flourish for max dpr and it costs inspiration charges.
1 Action
1 Extra Attack
2 Bonus Actions
The Helmet of Grit provides one Bonus Action when the wearer is at or below 50% hp. Maybe you're wearing that.
No Sorcadin? Paladin 6 / Sorcerer 6 is beyond broke. I'm solo'ing the entire last Ketheric fight.
Sorcadin is good for more smites, but Cleradins are more efficient with the smites. Thunder Cleradins specifically. Why kill Ketheric in 3 rounds of smites when you can kill him in 0 rounds with one smite?
