But the experiment would go like this. If you took 50 gay men and put them on deserted island for 100 years and came back to it. All those men would be dead and there would be no offspring whatsoever.

Yet when you got a population of 8 billion people on the planet, a minority of gay people are not going to make a dent in the size of the population.

Some have argue that being gay is something of a natural's way of population control. This is untrue because most men who are gay will still sleep with women to keep the gene pool going for survival.

Personally I don't understand what being gay does for the whole evolutionary theory because it sure isn't reproducing.

So it's just maybe someone's personal choice to be gay.

A member of a communal species who does not reproduce still does contribute to the species survival, not via production of offspring but by simply existing and contributing to that community, and if youd want to talk about offspring specifically which however is only one tiny facet, adoption or the fostering of offspring that is not your own still contributes to the robustness of the species.

As for "its not evolutionary advantageous so its a personal choice" that's a silly argument once you know about evolution, evolution generally does not produce perfect or optimal systems, it's why you get terrible inefficiencies like the way giraffes are wired.
As long as a species is able to thrive in their environment there is no pressure that will drive specific change.

Also most gays dont "sleep with women to keep the gene pool going" that can happen yes but that's not that common. It's a lot more common that someone who is gay has to have a relationship with someone to mask not being gay, although luckily that nowadays is less of an issue as being gay has become a lot more accepted, although hostilities across the world still very much exist.

I'm super straight and religious, a productive gay person trumps any hetero dumping 10 babies like rats in poverty. We don't evolve like animals who needs numbers and time. We need quality human education in all matters of life.

...you DO realise his only (and somewhat legitimate reasoning) was that his daughter is mortal... and Aylin is not, right? Their sexual preferences wasn't a factor... They say it several times.

Don't you worry, turns out Jaheira lives in a commune in the lower city where her adolescent children (multi-racial mix of something small with pointy ears, and a half-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-orc) give her lip about being an absentee mother. No father(s) in sight. And some strange small children also running around in the place. Very liberal and progressive all round. Fun too, but also ... really, really confusing...

Absolutely nothing would change. You would just have Sir Aylin say "Begone now, I wish to caress my beloved's bosom" and people would cry about it being sexist or some ♥♥♥♥.

You're probably right, but I found her sadism odd. I got the impression it was meant to be funny.

If you're referring to Alyin I think its meant to represent how much her experience in captivity for a 100 years has negatively effected her. When she gives Lorrokan the good old backbreaker, she has a small moment of clarity where you can tell even she's worried about she's become, although unfortunately this plot point is never explored further.

I'm not sure what's confusing about it. If you search through her house you'll find that she still keeps a necklace of Khalid, so I think its safe to assume that even after 100 years she still holds him so close to her heart that doesn't want to remarry although still wants to be able to build a family like they originally planned to have together.

Also to OP and anyone else wondering, Kethric's issues with Aylin and Isobel's relationship had nothing to do with the fact that they were gay. His issue was that Aylin was a immortal and he didn't want his daughter to be in love with someone who was significantly older than her and would eventually outlive her, which is more uniquely a dnd issue given that the afterlife is a thing and Aylin being immortal would mean they would cease to be together forever once Isobel died.

On top of that, Kethric, while he did not like their relationship, did not do anything to interfere with it. He only imprisoned Aylin after Isobel died since Aylin's connection to Selune was the key to granting him immortality and eventually bring back Isobel.

Yea sure was abit cringe the way they talk, but nobody cares its just a damn game. But i will tell you what is a damn travesty its that you cant have a damn threesome with them! and they come to your camp and go at it as rabbits and you cant even join in wtf, i am refunding this damn game! IMO, most people unhappy about this or other instances aren't having anything against L, G or whatever letter. It's just fine if someone isn't straight. I personally know L people and G people. They are great - productive members of society and simply kind friends.

What those people don't go about doing is - yelling everywhere about the fact they are L or G or whatever. They don't go indulging into provocative actions in public. They keep it private. Just like straight people in my circle of friends do. They also don't go around doing stuff like that in public places or somewhere to demonstrate it.

Thus what I think the root of it is - not so much the lack of acceptance, but rather numbness. People simply get tired of it being pushed on them again and again and again - for no reason or no value to the story. It like - who cares, but you had to nudge me anyways. And then someone else pokes me with the same thing. And then someone else shoves it into my face. So at some point I become numb to it and disdain the fact of shoving, not so much the premise itself.

You SAY that it's not the problem, but then you'll say it's being "pushed on you" when there's like... ONE OR TWO characters like that in a game with a cast of hundreds, That's probably less of a proportion than gay people in real life, and yet people still ♥♥♥♥♥ incessantly.

If a game is going to be accurate, gay people should exist in the game, just like they do in real life. And the people acting like being gay is an affront to nature, This game has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ogres, Goblins, Gnomes, Elves, Tieflings... yet THIS is the realism hill you are dying on?

I can 100% agree with you. I genuinely hate the LGBTIA+ community. Their representation in media tends to seriously anger me quite a bit.

In BG3, my first encounter with an OPENLY GAY couple came in the form of those 2 gnomes in Grymforge. I tried to assassinate one of them only to trigger an unwanted battle with the duergar. Had to reload. I made up my mind to kill them later in Baldur's Gate when I came across them.

Not sure about Barcus, but he seems like a good friend to Wulbren. If they are gay...

My next encounter was the issue that I hated the most. Isobel and Dame Aylin.

When I saved Isobel, it was all fine until I saw a You Tube short that showed that they were homosexuals. I planned on killing Night song, but found out her death meant quite a bit of undesirable issues would occur. With all being done by saving them both and killing Ketheric, I encountered the disgusting kiss scene. Reloaded to just before that vomitable scene. Sneaked and killed Isobel. Jaheira left the party with the adamantium armor and the keeper's helm...

Doesn't matter. Lost Minsc and Boo. Upset, but kept going.

Found out the redheaded tiefling protector I created was Squidward mixed with Octo dad...

That's when I FINALLY gave up and uninstalled the game.

This game had a stupid message going on as follows:

"Keep the LGBTIA+ alive and everyone will survive"

Aside from this GLARING plot creation mistake, the game is genuinely fun
