Iron flask question
Does anyone think the iron flask could be used on rafael? I have yet to use it like the pokeball it in theory is. Just wondering if anyone has used it to capturing yet.

According to the writeup in the books, the Iron Flask IS reusable, but only on extraplanar beings (like the Spectator, Elementals, and yes... Raphael).

Wouldn't that be cool. Raphael in a bottle. ;)
"Raphael in a bottle" in a bottle sounds like an expensive cologne that Raphael would sell, and it would obviously be cherry scented.

I believe in RAW an Iron Flask can be used for capture, but in game, the Iron Flask can only be used to release what's already inside, namely a Spectator:

AFAIK, even after emptying the Flask, you can't use it to capture any new entity. Again, would be cool IF, maybe you could use it to capture Raphael, although I believe in RAW the creature gets a saving throw, and Raph would probably make his save.

That said, although IMHO it makes no sense, the Legends of Faerun/Treasure Trove mod lets you summon Raphael as an ally. There are some things I'm willing to do that make little sense (like using Orpheus as a hireling), but that one makes no sense, I won't use it.
