Ketheric Thorm fight with Jaheira or other companions?

Should i bring Jaheira into the final Throm fight? i'm kinda at a loss for who to bring just for the story aspects, Wyll, Shadowheart, Gale, Jaheira seem to all have a pretty big story party to play here, i don't care about spoilers for this aspect im honestly just curious who i should bring for the story

Im curious to see if theres any more story developing or chats between nightsong and shadowheart.
im obviously not going to use gale as a nuke but i'd like to see that story play out of telling him we don't need to

and Jaheira obviously has some histroy with thorm...

also almost forgot Karlach maybe she'll respond to the developments of gortash in the story if anything.

If i don't take Jaheira do i still get her as a companion after the fight?

There's quite a bit of extra dialogue options when you bring certain companions along. How much it changes the encounter I'm not sure, but it definitely happens. Bring Karlach with you when you confront Gortash.

I will for sure but do i get much dialogue from her in the ketheric encounter after jumping down the hollow tower?

I mean, if you don't bring Gale he can't do his whole 'Should I blow myself up' bit. Wyll is also someone you might want to bring along for his quest, but you can journey back out once he's rescued his prisoner and swap him out.

Karlach also has some dialogue near the end. For the *final* final fight of act 2 only Gale's quest is tied to it, but he doesn't have to really be there either, his quest just continues past it.

How did you journey out to swap Wyll out after his quest? Only way I've found out is by using Scroll of Mist Step but then it bugs everything.

Jaheira, Shadowheart have minor significance.

Lae'Zel and Astarion have passing contextual references.

Post seems a bit overdue but still curious – what about Minthara (If you have her)? I haven't seen discussions about taking her( She asks you to join killing Thorm after you safe her and afterwards if you didn't bring her into battle also mentions that it would've been better if she was present. But does it actually have any impact? I already passed once w ShadowH, Karlach and Gale. Shadowheart's part is pretty much finished in Shar's domain, she has no dialogues nor cutscenes in the final battle and the only thing that Gale participates in is few minor phrases on the way and pre-boss "Oh, you think I actually shouldn't blow myself up? OK, ty bro, I won't". In camp the dialogue about crown of the absolute triggers, but would it same as Wyll's dialogue regarding Mizora and his father even if he wasn't present? Gale would still refer to the crown as an alternate solution to his "condition" and that's it? Or it is a key point in his quest? Wyll, however, gets a present from Mizora, therefore having him in the party (if you do care for the guy at all) makes sense. Karlach has a variety of reactions, taking her is a good idea definitely. I didnt yet try to take Lae'Zel, considering her race and plot does she have any dialogues? Also curious if Astarion has any jokes to crack...I see "passing contextual references" mentioned, that might be worth a try for the sake of content I guess, however top-3 party members seem to be Karlach, Wyll and ...Gale? I haven't found any valid suggestions beside few reddit discussions and this post all being mere "what if's" without certainty. And replaying boss fight 3 times over with various parties is a bit too much, really.

Jahiera is a good idea for one reason; Moonbeam. The avatar of Myrkul can't move out of the way and is big enough that a Moonbeam placed at the centre of him without getting in the way of your melee guys. So pop one off as soon as you can and he's getting hurt every time automatically.

You can never bring all of them and they all have unique dialogue. That's part of the replay-ability.
